I was so fortunate to be offered a working spot on a 2-day seminar with Zeljko Gora from Croatia. At first I hesitated to sign up as I only few weeks prior had been at the Lolabuland camp and I knew from last year that I would be given so much feedback that I would have enough to work with for some months 😉 But as Zeljko is also focusing on the dog’s commitment/independence and running with the dog I thought it would complement the feedback I had received from Silvia at the camp.
Zeljko had made some really fun courses (a bit easier than the ones Silvia had made) so I got my self confidence are back again – just kidding 😉 What I mean is that I had learned a lot at Silvia’s camp, which I didn’t really realise as I also identified many gaps in our training. It was only very few times I was handling Sookie differently than Zeljko had planned! But that said, there are still a long way from my handling plans to my execution of same 😉
We indeed was running a lot – in the evening at home, after having relaxed for some hours, my thighs were so sore and I could hardly get up from the couch – guess I’m not in such a good shape as I should be at this time of the year.. 😮
It was absolute a great seminar and I got some really good recommendations on how to train Sookie to e.g. turn tighter. But have to start working on this before next seminar with Zeljko in July 😉
